Creating Full-Width Sections

Forge is designed to create virtually any kind of layout possible, including full width sections in a website.

However, Forge is also very conservative: it does not try to override other themes or plugins, and respects the styling you have in your website.

Because of that, Forge is always limited to act within the area of a post’s content. It will not overflow from that area and it is the duty of the current WordPress theme to provide full-width capabilities.

Therefore, if you need to create an entire page using only Forge, you will have to look for a theme that supports full-width.

Using a theme that supports full-width

If you want to create a page that covers the entire window, you will need to use a theme that supports making your content full-width. This means a few things:

  • Removing the sidebar
  • Removing the containers that limit the post’s content width
  • Removing the header and footer, optionally
